Outdoor wall light replacement
Decided to replace the outdoor wall light (builder grade) with a more advanced motion detector kind and following is how we went about it. Purchased the new unit on amazon . First and formost find the breaker switch in the breaker box and switch off the power to the wall light. Then in order to remove the current or old ligth fixture, unscrew the two screws as shown in the picture below. Remove the mounting bracket and unhook the wires. There should be three wires, a black wire which is the hot wire, white wire which is neutral and then a bare copper wire which is ground. Then attach the bracket that came with the new unit. The unit also came with two screws to be connected to the wall connector box. Next step is to attach the wires from the new unit to the wires on the wall.
